Due to significant growth, Array is in search of Production Control and Materials Manager Production Control function of this role includes management of master production schedule, plant/departmental level load plans, resource planning including machines/fulltime-temporary labor/outsourcing and communication of departmental dashboards. Under Materials Planning and Procurement functions this position will be responsible for all activities related to materials management from forecasts to delivery, including management of Kanban system, reduction in inventory, increase inventory turns, management of slow-moving/excess/obsolete inventory, management of past due POs, implementation effective RFQ process for competitive pricing, vendor management, trainings for personnel to enhance their scheduling /planning/ procuring skills and continuous improvement in cost and on time delivery of materials/projects.

  • Leading at team of 8 with in Production, Procurement and Materials department.
  • Owns and ensures that the Master Production Schedule is maintained in daily / Weekly / Monthly increments to establish sequences and lead-times of each operation to meet shipping dates according to customer orders and seasonal sales forecasts.
  • Manages Scheduling / Materials planning/Procurement responsibilities for all production departments through scheduling and materials planning team ensuring long (12 months)/short (3 months) strategy is executed.
  • Management of planning meetings at Director’s, Manager’s and production floor level to help achieve on time and full delivery.
  • Manage communication of departmental dashboards for production control, production and procurement teams.
  • Recommends production quoted labor hours based on capacity system data and effectively establishes a pull forward and balanced work plan.
  • Coordinates with Department Managers, Production Planners, Material Group, Warehouse when changes need to occur on the schedule.
  • Ensure all inventory levels are adjusted as needed and proper levels are maintained to support organizational cycle time reduction, inventory turns, process improvements and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage all aspects of supplier negotiations, including contract terms (SLAs), pricing and performance management, Terms and Conditions, RFQs management, and vendor selection strategies.
  • Manage through procurement team to work with suppliers and Value Added Manufacturing on terms and inventory levels to minimize piece price variances (PPV)
  • Ensure periodic reviews are performed with suppliers to ensure that they satisfy the ongoing requirements of Array.
  • Ensures ALL operations related KPI data is maintained and analyzed on request with regards to Scrap, Safety, 5S, Productivity and on-time delivery, Sales, Operations Planning, Inventory, $ Spend by Commodity by Vendor and etc.
  • Take a leadership role in developing and mentoring all direct reports; conduct performance management reviews and implement development plans.
  • Guides, educates and trains all team members on process, technical knowledge and company procedures; fostering further development and growth.
  • Plans and manages the establishment of departmental budget

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and/or Engineering
  • Minimum 4 years of ERP/MRP systems experience is required for materials and production planning modules.
  • 7 years of experience in Production and Materials planning, strategic sourcing, supplier management and development experience.
  • CPM or (Certified Professional in Supply Management) CPSM certification is preferred
  • Experience on Supplier Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) & Supplier ISIR Management (Incoming Sample Inspection Report)
  • Ability to work under pressure when given a task(s) that may require overtime to complete it
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player
  • Advanced analytical and negotiating skills
  • Ability to organize and complete work related projects in a timely manner
  • Strong decision making ability
  • Ability to communicate effectively to multiple levels of the organization.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Advance knowledge of MS office specially Excel and ERP/MRP,
  • Experience working in a Lean manufacturing environment an asset.
