A hands-on position which coordinates the gathering of completed components for assembly by performing the following duties.  The position spends 100% of the time in a coordinating role.

Essential Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Communicates with multiple departments to determine the status / completion date of components required for AMC.
  • Accountable to follow all policies and procedures defined in the company quality system.
  • Works with Section Manager and Group Leaders to develop improvement ideas that support business objectives
  • Prepares ALL Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for the Assembly area and hands off to the applicable Group Leader/Team Coordinator for completion. And then coordinates with multiple departments to ensure rework is completed.
  • Gathers SQDC data and populates the daily file accordingly.
  • Ensures material Kanban systems and requests are properly filled out and executed in a timely fashion.
  • Executes and documents ALL return to stock items for AMC area.
  • Ensures ALL inter-departmental requests are properly filled out and executed in a timely fashion.
  • Ensures production materials are staged in the area before production process begins to maximize efficiency.
  • Ensures standard work procedures for operators and material handlers are being followed for each production job and supporting processes.
  • Supports continuous improvement to include production methods, productivity, delivery performance, equipment performance, product quality and employee safety while engaging operators’ ideas.
  • Responsible for providing feedback to Group Leader / Section Manager for root cause and corrective action for KPI target misses and other production related issues for assigned jobs.
  • Ensures that ALL lines are properly torn down including material return to stock, storage of assembly fixtures and tool return, and all applicable 5S standards.
  • Ensures finished goods are delivered to shipping for on time deliveries.
  • Ensures ALL documentation is properly filled out and orders completed are removed from the system.
  • Accountable to follow all policies and procedures defined in the company quality system.
  • Supports continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Reports to work on time, and follow the call in procedure.
  • Report any Health and Safety issues to your department manager immediately.
  • Daily routine housekeeping of your work area.
  • Conducts all work duties as per the Occupational Health & Safety Act & Regulations, the health, safety & environmental policies, procedures, and policies of Array Canada.
  • Performs any other reasonable assignments given by your Department Manager or his/her designates.

Skills Required:

  • Minimum high school diploma and one year certificate from college or technical school; 1 year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations and other employees of the organization
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Knowledge of MS Outlook Contact Management systems; Basic to intermediate MS Excel Spreadsheet software and MS Word Word Processing software.
  • Must have the ability to learn - Industrios Inventory software; DataWeb Manufacturing software
  • Experience working in a Lean manufacturing environment an asset.
